DJ Leslieson

Terms & licensing

Website use, downloads and the DJL Meter software licence.

About these terms

This website and DJL Meter are published by Quantum Leap Design Group Limited trading as DJ Leslieson. Our registered company and contact details are on the company page. Website content describes our music and software; specific licence terms apply to the software. These terms do not limit mandatory consumer rights.

Downloads, compatibility and support

Meter Free can be downloaded without a purchase. Check the product page for supported formats, features and system requirements, and the installation guide before installing. The EBU/ITU test results described on the release page are validation results, not certification or endorsement by those organisations. For assistance, contact djl@djleslieson.com.

Paid editions and consumer rights

Paid plugin checkout is not currently available and this website takes no plugin payments. When sales open, the checkout must show the edition, total price including applicable taxes, delivery arrangements, compatibility requirements and applicable purchase terms before you order, with confirmation supplied in a form you can keep.

For eligible distance purchases, consumers normally have a 14-day cancellation period. Starting a digital download during that period only removes the cancellation right when the legally required express consent to immediate supply and acknowledgement of losing that right have been obtained and confirmed. Accepting the software licence alone does not do this.

Rights and remedies for faulty, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming digital content remain available under applicable law. There is no blanket “no refunds” rule. Contact us about a problem with any purchase. Physical merchandise is covered by the separate shop’s purchase and returns policies.

DJL Meter software licence

The following is the licence supplied with Meter, version 1.0 dated 21 October 2026. Installation acceptance is handled by the installer; browsing this page does not tick or submit that acceptance for you.

DJL METER - SOFTWARE LICENCE AGREEMENT
Version 1.0 - 21 October 2026

Publisher: Quantum Leap Design Group Limited trading as DJ Leslieson ("we", "us" or "Publisher"). Product information and contact: https://djleslieson.com

Read this agreement before installing. By ticking the agreement checkbox and continuing, you accept these terms for the DJL-owned portions of Meter. If you do not accept, cancel installation. These terms supplement your order terms and do not reduce your mandatory legal rights.

1. YOUR LICENCE
We grant you a non-exclusive licence to install and use the edition of Meter supplied to you for personal or commercial audio work. Meter Free requires no purchase. Meter and Meter Pro require a valid licence issued by us. Unless your order specifies otherwise, a paid licence is for one named user on up to two computers used by that user; it does not permit sharing with other users or concurrent use by different people. A business requiring multiple users must obtain the appropriate number of licences.

A perpetual licence permits continued use of the purchased version without a routine subscription expiry. Future major versions, including version 2, are not included unless expressly stated in your order. Any updates or support included with your purchase are as stated at the time of sale. You retain all rights in audio and other material you create using Meter.

2. OWNERSHIP AND RESTRICTIONS
The software and branding remain the property of their respective owners. You may keep reasonable installation and licence backups. Do not distribute paid licence files, share activation credentials, bypass edition controls, or sell, rent or sublicense copies of the software without our permission. Statutory rights and rights expressly granted by third-party licences are unaffected. Contact us for licence transfers or changes to the named user.

3. ACTIVATION AND OFFLINE USE
A .meterlic activation file unlocks an edition and is separate from this agreement. Offline licence import requires no internet access. Version 1.0.0 does not have a public online activation service configured. If online activation is provided in a future configured build, the signed licence is cached for offline use after successful activation. Online deactivation releases an online device slot; deleting the local licence or uninstalling does not release that slot. Licence and device limits still apply when technical enforcement is unavailable.

4. MEASUREMENTS AND COMPATIBILITY
Meter measures and displays audio; it does not certify compliance with a delivery standard. True peak is identified as an estimate. Phase and resonance warnings identify candidates for review, including legitimate musical content; they do not establish that a mix is defective. Version 1 supports mono/stereo, not surround. Supported formats and system requirements are stated in the product documentation. Compatibility with every host, driver and audio workload is not promised.

5. PRIVACY AND CONNECTIONS
Audio analysis takes place locally. Offline licence import requires no account or network connection and does not upload audio. In builds configured for online activation, the service receives activation/account information, a random installation identifier and the computer name displayed for approval. Account passwords are handled by the account website, not by Meter. Separate website/account privacy information must be supplied before an online account service is offered.

6. THIRD-PARTY COMPONENTS
JUCE and other components retain their own copyright and licence terms. Applicable notices accompany the software in its Documentation/third-party-notices folder. This agreement covers our software only and does not replace or restrict rights under applicable third-party licences. Customers do not need a JUCE developer licence simply to use Meter.

7. PURCHASES, SUPPORT AND LEGAL RIGHTS
Price, taxes, any voluntary refund policy and included support are stated at the point of sale. This agreement does not remove statutory rights concerning faulty, misdescribed or unsatisfactory digital content, or create a blanket no-refund policy. Acceptance of this installer agreement is not consent to waive any distance-selling cancellation right. Any legally required request for immediate digital delivery and acknowledgement of its effect on cancellation rights must be collected separately at checkout.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability or any rights or remedies where doing so would be unlawful. No additional service-level or accuracy guarantee is made beyond the express product and purchase terms and applicable law. Contact the Publisher through https://djleslieson.com with your order details for support or purchase issues.

8. ENDING USE
You may stop using Meter at any time. If your paid licence is cancelled or refunded under applicable terms, stop using the paid features and remove the corresponding licence. We may terminate a licence for material breach after notice and a reasonable opportunity to remedy it where appropriate, subject to applicable law. The uninstaller retains local activation data; remove it in Meter if you want to remove your local unlock. Backups and third-party rights remain subject to their applicable terms.

Keep a copy of this agreement. It is installed as LICENSE.txt in the support/application folder.
